    Cabin Energy - Go Solar!

Solar power is nothing if not the friend of the intrepid cabin owner. If your cabin is not wired to the grid, the days are gone that you have to rely on batteries alone. There are a number of wonderful solar options to help you with cabin energy. It's important for you to see where you are going in the dark, but cabin energy is important for so many more reasons!

First, you can start with outdoor solar lights. There are solar motion lights and solar path lights to help you find your way back after an evening hike to watch the sunset.

For indoors, it is a great idea to invest in some solar panels. Solar panels can provide you with a great deal of cabin energy, and they are great for the environment. Going solar for your cabin energy can save you the headache of searching for a flashlight, and it can make your cozy cabin even more welcoming and warm.

Solar energy can be an investment, so don't be afraid to start small. Start with a solar lantern that sits in the sun outside during the day and comes inside at night, or begin with a motion light for by the door outside.

As you become more comfortable with the solar idea, invest in bigger solar items, perhaps a total solar power system.
