Decorate your cabin with antiques

You've been gifted with your Aunt Jean's antiques and want to use them in your cabin, however, you're unsure as to how. Get creative. There are two ways to make an impact when using antiques in interior cabin planning. You can integrate them throughout your cabin, or decorate a single room in antiques. For example, an antique bed can be covered with a very old quilt. An antique stove can become the highlight of your kitchen and be accented with smaller antiques.

Fill an antique cabinet with period chatskas, color grouped into threes, or put one of the same color on each shelf. Don't display everything you have at once. Save some to switch out later, when you're snowed in with cabin fever. If you're uncertain about the grouping, keep switching things around until you have that ah-ha moment.

Place a large antique centerpiece on a modern table; display an antique tablecloth on a rustic dining table. Hang an antique mirror in the bathroom and accent it with a lovely floral display in an antique vase.

Remember, this is about cabin living, serving hot tea from Aunt Jean's teapot and enjoying your antiques in a personalized setting.
